Materials of Construction

We offer the HDS pump in a variety of materials to tailor the pump to your specific application. For abrasive service we offer ASTM A532 Cl. III Type A high chrome iron liquid end castings. This is the hardest material we offer for severe slurry applications and it offers mild corrosion resistance. For more applications with chemical or high chloride concerns we have several choices in ASTM A890 duplex and super duplex stainless steels (CD4, 2205, and 2507) as well as ASTM A494 high nickel alloys (C276, A20). Hardware, motor shafts, and other pump components can also be manufactured in these materials. Contact Vulcan Pumps with your specific needs and application details and we will be happy to configure the right pump for you.
